I had 10 years of fun in school.and all along, i had always been looking forward to weekdays
i hated being bored during the weekends.
and now that its Sunday Night,
i'm feeling the Monday blues, all too soon.
i no longer look forward to school.
not to be there to realise how much stuffs i dont understand
not to be there faking that i've done my tutorials.
not to be there acting that i understand everything when i actually dont.
not to come up with loads of excuses for myself.
not to see how my friends have proceeded on,
not to see how motivated they are
not to see tonnes of assessment books that they bought and did
i dont want to go there
to prove to myself how stupid i am.
i no longer look forward to school.
i was outside having dinner with my family,
and i asked my sister if school was fun
and the smile on her face answers it on.
i can no longer chant about the happenings in school, like how she does.
how fun was recess, how fun was it to play the recorder,
how she scores full marks for her tests
while i've got to hide my test papers in shame.
how long has it been since i ran home to tell my proud mother how well i've done.
i remembered i was the top student of my class in primary four,
and i eagerly paid 10 cents to use the phone to inform my mum.
how proud was she then.
am i able to make her proud once more?
the money that my parents invested in tutors for me,
was that even worth it?
tomorrow's school.
and i'm dreading it.
